The Ogden Valley has seen a significant escalation in development in the last decade. This development surge has outpaced the ability of the Valley to benefit from responsible planning and oversight as originally conceived in the General Plan. The accelerated growth has resulted in significant resource depletion, pollution, increased traffic, and property tax increases that have impacted local property owners.
The Valley Citizens for Responsible Development (VCRD) is a non profit corporation of Valley citizens dedicated to a more measured and responsible growth pace in Ogden Valley, and will evaluate and respond to any development proposals that would further erode the ambiance and rural characteristics highly cherished in our Valley. The VCRD intends to provide a forum and voice for Valley citizens to have a proactive role in current and future Ogden Valley development.
